Cecilia Paul is a director, especially drawn to productions where different art forms meet and open up new ways of thinking, being and working. Her directing is rooted in the belief that we are not separate from nature but part of it, an idea that shapes both the themes she returns to and the way she leads a room: listening, collaborative, and built on equality rather than hierarchy.

Cecilia is especially drawn to what is quiet, vulnerable and easily overlooked; he life beneath the surface, in both the sea and in people. To work where scientific knowledge and artistic imagination inform one another inspires and excites her.

Alongside her stage and film work, she also designs and facilitates workshops exploring presence, embodiment and community.
